I love Donovan and have since I was 13 and found my mom's old records of him (I'm 20 now). He possibly saved my life throughout middle school and high school and is continuing to do so to this day!! I have all of his records (on LP!) up to Open Road and the double record collection thing in 72 I think. My favorite is probably Sunshine Superman and Mellow Yellow (the records, not the songs) although I love them all. House of Jansch is so incredible... (so is Bert Jansch - you know him? John Renbourn - Pentangle??) He makes me cry and realize truths that otherwise I might never have figured out. I think that somehow we knew each other in a different life or maybe we're soul mates (and I don't say this lightly). I was honestly in love with him for years and still am, although it's been put on hold since I have a boyfriend and I probably shouldn't devote all my young love on someone who's 50ish, married, and who I'll probably never meet. But anyway, he is an incredible musician, human, and poet and I love him like I love myself. Blessings and love to you Donovan, and to all who appreciate him (and those who don't, but that's another story!)

Troubador is Lovely

I had the lovely experience of listening to disc one of the collection "Troubador" as I was getting ready for work this morning. I still have "Wear Your Love Like Heaven" playing in the back of my mind as I type this.
I can certainly recommend this collection to any Donovan fan or any Donovan-curious lover of music that's just lovely.
